Mangaluru: Empty rake derails; train traffic unaffected

Mangaluru, May 16: A couch of a Mangaluru-Chennai express train was derailed near the Marnamikatta railway bridge in Managluru on Tuesday morning.

There were no casualties or injuries in the incident as the rake was empty.

The mishap occurred at 11:55 a.m. while backing to yard from Mangaluru Central Railway Station.

Train traffic was not affected due to the mishap, sources said. More details are awaited.
