Mangaluru, Jun 24: Mangaluru CCB police have arrested two youth for allegedly plotting to rob and kill a businessman from Vamanjoor on the outskirts of the city.

Based on accurate information, CCB police conducted a raid and arrested the two accused when the duo was roaming in a two-wheeler with swords. The police also seized the deadly weapons found in their possession during the arrest.
The police have seized a Yamaha motorcycle, three swords, a knife, 250 grams of ganja and a mobile phone from the accused.
Accused son of murdered rowdy-sheeter
Of the two accused, Pawan Raj Shetty has been identified as the son of notorious rowdy-sheeter Rohidas Shetty alias Vamanjoor Rohi who was murdered in 2009.
Pawan Raj has a case of attempted murder on Santhosh Kottary in Mangaluru Rural police station in 2014. According to the police, he had been helping accused in murder cases as an act of retaliation to his father's murder.
Accused Kumar alias Sooryakumar has a case of murder of Vasudeva Shenoy against him at Barke police station, a case of attempted murder on Vikram alias Vicky from Naguri in Mangaluru Rural police station limits and a case of possession of illegal weapons in Mangaluru South police station, along with a case of illegal ganga-peddling in Coast Guard police station.
A team of CCB police consisting of Inspector Valentine D'Souza, PSI Shyam Sundar and others, led by DCP (Law & Order) K M Shantha Raju, were successful in conducting the raid and nabbing the accused.
