MCC Commissioner Hephsiba R Korlapati takes charge

Mangaluru, Jan 1: IAS officer Hephsiba Rani Korlapati took charge as the Commissioner of the Mangaluru City Corporation on Thursday.

Speaking to media after assuming charge, she said it would require at least two weeks to assess various issues related to the civic body. She said she would make all efforts to ensure proper delivery of services of the city corporation to the people as per law.

œI will strive to remove the time and space constraints that people face in dealing with the civic body,  she said, and added that tools of Information Technology would be effectively made use of.

Earlier, she was the Assistant Commissioner of Basavakalyan Revenue sub-division in Bidar district.
