Mysuru DC Shikha among 11 IAS officers transferred

Bengaluru, Aug 11: The state government on Wednesday transferred Mysuru Deputy Commissioner C?Shikha and 10 other IAS?officers. Shikha, who had served as the Mysuru Deputy Commissioner for three years, has been appointed Commissioner of the Social?Welfare Department in Bengaluru.

Last month, Shikha had filed a complaint against former Mysuru Zilla Panchayat president K?Marigowda, said to be close aide of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, accusing him of intimidating her, using abusive language and interfering in administrative matters. Marigowda has since been arrested and suspended from the Congress party.

Shikha's transfer comes at a time when preparations for the Mysuru Darasa are in full swing. Official sources said that usually the deputy commissioner, who oversees the arrangements for the festivities, is not transferred during the preparations for Dasara.

Shikha's husband M?N?Ajay Nagabhushan, who served as the Mandya Deputy Commissioner, has also been given a Bengaluru posting. He is now the Commissioner of the Food and Civil Supplies Department.
