Mysuru, Feb 27: Actor and philanthropist Prakash Raj aka Prakash Rai on Monday made it clear that he won’t support violence-mongers like Mohammed Nalapad who was arrested on charge of assaulting a youth in Bengaluru recently.
The multi-lingual actor, who had once praised Nalapad, son of Shantinagar MLA N A Haris, in a programme for contributing money to help the poor, faced harsh questions from a few journalists during an interaction programme in Mysuru.
Prakash Raj replied that he regretted for praising Nalpad in a programme, a month back without knowing latter’s criminal activities. “I did not know him personally. I thought he’s a good human being,” he said.
"Nalapad is a demon and persons like him should not be tolerated. He had come forward to contribute funds to a village, which I adopted. He donated Rs 2 lakh for the development works. But I have returned the funds after I learnt about him and the incident," the versatile actor explained.
