Mangalore, July 26: Union Corporate Affairs Minister M Veerappa Moily alleged the Karnataka Government of trying to divert the attention of people from Lokayukta report through phone tapping and leakage issue.
Mr Moily who visited the city for the first time on Tuesday after assuming new portfolio, told media persons that there is no excuse for Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, whose 'criminal involvement' in mining scam has been proved in the Lokayukta report.
He pointed out that the real issue now is Lokayukta report, which is expected to be submitted on Wednesday, and not the 'leakage'. “Let us discuss the issue of leakage later”, he said.
Yeddyurappa should resign to save his honour before the Lokayukta report is offically made public, the Union Minster said. “He should resign to save whatever little grace he has left”, he added.
