Malekudiya boy finally writes MCJ exam

Mangalore, May 21: Vittala Malekudiya, who is in judicial custody on charges of being an alleged Naxal sympathizer, on Monday, appeared for second semester examination conducted by the Mass Communication and Journalism Department of Mangalore University.

The 22-year-old student, who was arrested on March 3 along with his father at his house in Kuthlur in Belthangady taluk by Anti Naxal Force, was brought to the examination hall with police security.

Though exam was scheduled to start at 10:00 am, he was brought to the university campus before 9:00 am. Mangalore University Registrar (evaluation) Prof Yadapadithaya, Dr Mallayya, MCJ department professor Dr Shivaram and others verified his documents and permitted him to write the exam.

His friends in MCJ welcomed him and helped him in memorising the subject. The students also discussed few important topics to help him to write the exam.
