
Films like Byaari, Oriyordori Asal (Tulu), Shaale, Ksheeranjali, Joueuse (French), Jo Jo Laali (Kannada) will be screened along with short films from aspiring film-makers at Roshni Nilaya School of Social Work Auditorium from 9 a.m. onwards on Sunday.
Speaking at a press conference here on Monday, Mr Malani said that the film festival was being organised on Sunday as April 21 was the day when the first film of Indian cinema Raja Harishchandra was released.
In addition to this, there will be a premiere of Malani's latest musical presentation titled 'Yash Raj Heroines De Jayenge' which was a musical tribute to late Bollywood producer Yash Chopra, at 6 p.m. in the film festival.
“Following the back-to-back screening of films, there will be a cultural programme from 7 p.m. onwards where local Tulu artists will be felicitated for their work,” said Mr Malani.
Co-ordinator of Alliance Francaise De Mangalore Larkins D'Souza and Silver Malani were present in the press conference.
