Vittal Malekudiya is 'traitor', says Karnik

Belthangady, Apr 22: Vittal Malekudiya, who spent months behind the bars for his alleged connection with the Maoists, was criticized by BJP Leader and MLC Ganesh Karnik.

Calling Mr Vittal a traitor, Mr Karnik said that there was no need to present the prior as a helpless person.

“Maoists are anti-nationals and Mr Vittal is said to have got connections with them. We have enough proof against him and hence legal action must be taken against Vittal,” said Mr Karnik who was present in Belthangady to campaign for the BJP candidate.

His take on Vittal Malekudiya came as a response to the query sought by the reporters on as to why he has not uttered a word for or against Mr Vittal while he is representing educational field as such.

“These naxalites are a menace in the nation and if we support them they will only grow,” he said.

Talking about the political atmosphere in the state, Mr Karnik said that the BJP is seeing favourable wave in the State.
