
80-year-old Kushe breathed his last at around 4:00 p.m. at a private hospital in the city. He is survived by his wife Sarojini M Kushe and a large number of relatives, friends and fans.
Known for his entrepreneurial zeal and flair for innovation, Kushe's contribution to the development of Mangalore city has been admired even by elected representatives of the region.
Kodialbail's PVS Sadan, a landmark building in the city, which was then tallest building along the West Coast of India outside Mumbai was the brainchild of Madhusoodhan Kushe.
He also played a key role in establishing educational institutions like Sarojini Madhusudan Kushe School and PU College, Attavar and PVS Sarojini Madhusudan Kushe Higher Secondary School, Goa.
He was married to Sarojini Kushe, the granddaughter of PVS Group founder Puthu Vaikunta Shet. Kushe had been appointed as the chairman of the group following Shet's demise.
