Fr Muller Hospital launched in Thumbay

Mangalore, Jun 3: “We have to pledge towards making Karnataka a healthy state, along with taking it towards development. Only when health-care facilities reach the lowest strata of people, will this dream turn into a reality,” said Minister for Health and Family Welfare U T Khader.

He was speaking at the launching programme of Fr Muller Hospital at Thumbay, on the outskirts of the city.

Advice and suggestions are expected from people in order to make hospitals people-friendly and health-care services effective. In this direction, Fr Muller Charitable Institutions have been providing prudent and reliable health-care services, said Mr Khader, congratulating the establishment.

The former multi-speciality B A Hospital at Thumbay, established by the well-known educationalist B Ahmed Hajee Mohiudeen, was taken over by Fr Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI), Kankanady, Mangalore.

. The hospital now operates as a unit of Fr Muller Institutions under the name Fr Muller Hospital, Thumbay.

Mangalore South MLA J R Lobo formally inaugurated the hospital.

District-in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai spoke on the occasion and felicitated founder of the hospital B Ahmed Hajee Mohiudeen.

Director of FMCI Fr Patrick Rodrigues welcomed the programme and administrator of the hospital Fr Richard Coelho proposed a vote of thanks.
