Mangalore, Sep 10: The reconstructed road of Chamber Garden near Shadi Mahal in Bolara was inaugurated on Tuesday by Mangalore South MLA J R Lobo.
The 150 metre interlocked-road laid at a cost of Rs 5 lakh has been sponsored by the Zakaria Foundation.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Lobo lauded the efforts of Zakaria, Chairman of the Foundation for contributing to the society expecting no returns and said the quality of the road is good as it was done by private contractors.
MCC Commissioner Ajith Kumar Rai, Former Mayor Shashidhar Hegde, Zakaria Foundation Chairman Bajpe Zakaria, Muhammad Shareef, B Shekunhi, Corporators Kavitha, Rathikala, Abdul Latheef, Congress leaders Muhamamd Badruddeen, T K Sudheer, Suresh Shetty, Ramananda Bolara, Benette D'Mello, Shafi Ahemed, Sandeep Bolara, Maneesh, Jayakara Samartha and others were present.
