
Mangalore, Sep 21: A large number of job aspirants from Dakshina Kannada and neighbouring districts took part in Job fair organised by Dakshina Kannada district employment and training department, Karnataka vocational training and skills development corporation and district human resource development department at Women's ITI College, KPT, Mangalore on Saturday.
Principal of Industrial training institute Mangalore, Kadri, Shivappa M speaking about job fair said, “There is huge demand for ITI students of Mangalore but most of the companies demand for 60 percent of marks, which usually many skilled students do not have. Some automobile companies demand for skilled student and offered good pay. Job fairs are the forum to market skills and choose the best candidate."
Manager of District employment exchange, Rithesh Amin briefing about the job fair in district said that so far 6,000 candidates from Dakshina Kannada have been selected in 54 job fairs held around district. Around 28 companies have taken part in job fair.
