Mangalore, Oct 2: A cigarette lighter was recovered from Mangalore sub jail when a surprise raid was carried out by a team under directions of City Police Commissioner Manish Kharbikar on Wednesday afternoon.
Police team led by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Kavita B T along with the police officials of Bunder and Barke police station seized Cigarette lighter which is contraband inside the jail.
Manish Kharbirkar, Commissioner of police speaking to coastaldigest.com said that, “It was a routine check and every time we keep on inspecting jails. However this time heard that contraband things found inside the jail and according to the report by officials I will take action”, he said.
