Mangalore, Oct 12: They might be at loggerheads with each other politically, but RSS Head honcho Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat was all praises for Congress leader B Janardhan Poojary for his work at Kudroli Shri Gokarnanatheshwara temple, in Mangalore.
Dr Bhat who visited the temple on Thursday to witness the installation of Shirdi Sai Baba idol in the temple premises, went around the temple with other BJP leaders and said that it is a beautiful temple, which attracst everyone towards it because of its charm.
Answering a query on the system of widows offering prayer at the temple, Dr Bhat said that change is the law of nature and such changes will have to be accepted.
“Our country is a great land that has always revered mother and has considered her as a supreme being. In this land, these kinds of reforms must happen, which will give greater status to women,” he said.
Speaking about Dr Bhat's visit to the temple Mr Poojary said that it is a religious place, where politics is to be kept at bay. “Everyone is welcome here,” he told the reporters.
