Passport officials to visit Mangalore PSK on Sept 10

Mangalore, Aug 27: A team of officials will visit Mangalore Passport Seva Kendra on September 10 to review the process of passport issuance.

Addressing the media persons MLC Ivan D'Souza said that he had been demanding the Passport Seva Kendra in Mangalore should get more staff and process about 1,000 passport applications a day against the present 350

Earlier, Mr D'Souza e led a delegation of people to the Regional Passport Office, Bangalore, and met Karthikeyan, the Passport Officer. He told the officer that passport applicants in Mangalore were facing difficulties in getting passports.

Mr. D'Souza urged the Ministry to convert the Mangalore Passport office into a full-fledged regional office. Karnataka, though issues the highest number of passports, has only one full-fledged office, he said.
