Mangaluru, Oct 31: Dr TD Kemparaju, Professor of Library and Information Science from Bangalore University, has taken charge as the new Registrar of Mangalore University from the outgoing Registrar Prof. P.S Yadapadithaya.

Hailing from Mandya district, Prof. Kemparaju obtained his M.Lib.Sc and Ph.D from the University of Mysore.
He joined Bangalore University Dept of Library and Information Science as Assistant Professor in 1981 and worked as the professor and chairman till recently.
With rich experience of 34 years, he has 36 publications in the National and International Research Journals along with heading a Major U.G.C Research Project.
Prof. Kemparaju also served Bangalore University in different capacities. He was the Director of Directorate of Planning Monitoring and Evaluation (PME), Director, Directorate of Distance Education and Chairman of various Statue Review Committees.
Expressing happiness on the new assignment he said “Mangalore University is known for Academic Excellence. The work culture in the University is excellent”.
Prof. Kemparaju is optimistic about strengthening resources infrastructures and developmental activities.
In a separate programme, Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. Byrappa congratulated Prof Yadapadithaya and welcomed the new registrar.
