
Taking charge from outgoing chairman of the advisory committee Usman Haji, Mr Rashid Haji said that his goal as the Wakf advisory chairman was to hinder factionism and unite everyone, which he would strive for.
“Let factionism be limited to the state of Kerala, not in Mangalore. I will work with the responsibility of utilising this position for the welfare of Muslim community, not for personal gain, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Usman Haji opined that the state Wakf committee was not functioning legitimately. The prevalent factionism in the district is higher than most other districts in the state. If the state advisory committee members are willing, the problems of this district can easily be resolved, he said.
Khateeb Sadakatullah Faizi of Zeenath Baksh Jumma Masjid performed the Dua.
Taqwa Masjid Khateeb Abdurrahman Khamil Saqafi, Jamiyyatul Falah - Riyadh unit advisory committee member Syed Saali Thangal, Central Jumma Masjid administrative committee member Basha Thangal, advocate Suleiman and Wakf officer Aboobaker were present.
