Mangaluru, Aug 25: A 19-year-old girl has allegedly committed suicide at her residence at Yedamangala village near Bellare in Sulya taluk of Dakshina Kannada district.
The deceased is Anita (19), who was pursuing her second year BBA at Kukke Sri Subrahmanyeshwara First Grade College at Subrahmanya, Dakshina Kannada.
The girl hanged herself today when her parents – Ganesh and Vishalakshi – had gone out for work. The police have reportedly recovered a death note from her room.
It is learnt that Anita was suffering from depression for some time. She had some physical ailments too and had fainted in her college for a couple of times recently.
A case has been registered at jurisdictional Bellare police station and investigations are on.
