Mangaluru, Dec 8: In yet another controversial statement, BJP leader Tejaswini Gowda has exhorted the Sangh Parivar protesters, who attempted to defy prohibitory orders at Ulaibettu in Mangaluru taluk on Monday, to be prepared to die for the cause of Hindutva.
œYou should be ready to sacrifice your life safeguard Hindutva," said Ms Tejaswini addressing a group of Sangh Parivar activists who had gathered at Sri Rama Bhajana Mandir at Vamanjoor.
Sri Rajashekharananda Swami of Gurupura Vajradehi Mutt, Prasad Attavar of Sri Rama Sene and Jagadish Shenava of VHP were also present on the occasion.
They had gathered there for an emergency meeting after the Sangh Parivar agitators' attempt to violate prohibitory orders and storm into Ulaibettu was thwarted by the police through baton charge.
Ms Tejaswini, who had jumped from Congress to BJP earlier this year, said that Siddaramiah led Congress government was fully responsible for the communal unrest in the region.
She went on to accuse local Muslims of throwing stones at protesters earlier in the day, and warned that if is difficult to handle the situation if Hindus were repeatedly provoked.
Thanking Ms Tejaswini for her support to the protesters, Rajashekharananda Swami pledged that the Sangh Parivar activists would definitely carryout a rally to Ulaibettu and exhibit their strength in the coming says.
