Mangaluru, Feb 14: Police have detained three miscreants of a Hindutva outfit for harassing park goers and trying to forcibly marry out couples in the city on Valentine's Day on February 14.
The detained trouble-mongers have been identified as Rajesh Poojary, Dakshina Kannada district leader of Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha and Naveen and Suresh, two other members of the hardline Hindutva group.

It is learnt that the trio not only harassed parkgoers but also tried to marry off two young couples forcibly at Kadri Park, a prominent recreation spot in Mangaluru.
As soon as the information received, the police rushed to the spot and took the trio into custody. However, no case has yet been registered against the trio.
While a section of youth in Mangaluru are celebrating love with red roses and colourful gifts on Valentine's Day, the so called moral police belonging to Hindutva outfits such as Sri Ram Sene, Bajrang Dal and Hindu Mahasabha are on prowl across the city.
Meanwhile, Mangaluru City Police Commissioner S Murugan has warned that the trouble-mongers who intend to harass youth on Valentine’s Day in the pretext of protecting culture would face action.
