Uppala, May 25: Khan Ameer (22), son of Basheer, residing at Baith-ul-Usman, Millath Road, Ambar, Mangalpady, Uppala, Kerala, sustained critical injuries after falling from a moving train on June 13, 2008.

His right leg was amputated because of extensive crushing injuries. Now, because of non-healing ulcer in his left heel, A J Hospital and Research Centre, Mangalore, has recommended reconstructive surgery.

The hospital has estimated cost of reconstructive surgery under general ward at Rs 1, 50,000. As his right leg has been amputated, Khan Ameer has to apply artificial limb from otto bock' limb centre which will cost further Rs.1, 50,000.

Hailing from a poor family Ameer is not in a position to pay hefty hospital bills. He is looking ahead for the generous support from the donors.

Those who can help him may contact him directly or send money to his bank account.
