Mangaluru, Jun 11: A local BJP leader from Mangaluru has filed a has filed a complaint with the Brihan Mumbai police against a Christian woman for posting alleged defamatory remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Facebook.

One Judith Lewis had shared a report, purportedly from an English daily, about Hindu leaders chalking out a plan to make India a Hindu nation by 2023 on a Facebook page ‘Konkan Tara’.
Reacting to the report, one of the group members, Savitha Lancy D’Souza, who hails from Pune, called Modi a “dog” and said she wished he was killed before he completes the remaining two years of his term.
Ajith Kumar Ullal, the convenor of the BJP’s IT Cell in Mangaluru Assembly constituency, who noticed the comment, filed a complaint with the Brihan Mumbai police.
However, soon after the complaint was filed, Savitha sent a message to Ajith stating she wrote the post in a fit of anger and apologised.
