Young BSF jawan returns home, commits suicide

Kasaragod, Oct 20: A Border Security Force jawan was found dead hanging at his residence at Aninjha, near Uduma, on Thursday.

The police suspect it to be a case of suicide. E. Chandran, 34, is the son of M. Narayanan, a resident of Mottammal, police sources said here.

Chandran, posted at a BSF camp in Pune, came home two days ago and the motive behind the extreme step was not immediately known, personnel at the Vidyanagar police station said.

Chandran is survived by his wife Shailna and daughter Shriya.
