Mangalore, Jan 28: A 19-year-old youth who was riding bike was killed after an oncoming lorry rammed into his bike at Ekkur on the outskirts of the city on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Iqbal, son of P C Imthiyaz, a resident of Pilar in Mangalore taluk.
The road mishap occurred when he was moving towards Mangalore from Thokkottu.
He suffered head injuries following the mishap. Though he was rushed to hospital he was declared brought dead.
A case of unnatural death has been registered and investigations are on.
