Sub: Hindu fanatics impede in Muslim dominated land vacated for National
Highway, anxiety of sectarian carnage from the factional elements.

Respected Sir
It is for your consideration that Hindu miscreants have been active since many years at the behest of a bigoted politician Anant Kumar Hegde to tarnish the pleasant atmosphere of Bhatkal city. We have timely exposed the sarcasm and impishness of politician with this prejudiced character before the higher authorities in the erstwhile. We have also revealed in the past allegations that under the supervision of which biased police officer sophisticated weapons have been transferred in the region to devastate the city of Bhatkal. But each time, with our greatest and unsurpassed strategy, we thwarted the horrendous aspirations of the beast.
Task of Express Highway in the Bhatkal region has been in full swing for the past few years. The people are diligently cooperating in this great project of our government. In this perfect atmosphere of national harmony, the mischievous elements of the region are twisted on making the atmosphere contaminated, instigated by bigoted political leader Ananth Kumar Hegde. District administration and area MLA Sunil Naik is dancing on the tune of Anant Kumar Hegde and also trying to put his evil ideas into practice while all the religious places which is obstructing the Express Highway from Mangalore to Bhatkal have been shifted. The district administration seems unable to take any concrete action against the miscreants. In the past too, the district administration has completely failed in various matters and often had to seek the support of higher authorities to crack down on delinquents. The police force of Karwar district has never been considered worthy by the higher authorities for cracking down on baneful and prejudicial elements in the district.
Bhatkal’s Hindu extremist are trying to rebuild temple obstructing the Express Highway where the temple did not even exist before. Survey no 88 of the Venkatapur gram is divided into 250 plots and maximum plots are owned by Muslims. There are only a few houses of Hindu community at a considerable distance from there which do not match their disputed location. In the present era, Hindus and Muslims are trying to create an atmosphere of love and harmony by forgetting their bigotry events. In such a pleasant environment, the politics of hatred is by no means appropriate. Therefore it is requested to enquire into the matter and take necessary steps against the malefactor to avert any inconvenience circumstances and oblige.

Thanking you Yours truly

Mohtesham Muhammed Idrees.

Mangaluru, Dec 2: Mangaluru International Airport responded to a medical emergency late on Monday night. Air India Express flight IX 522, travelling from Riyadh to Thiruvananthapuram, was diverted to Mangaluru Airport after a passenger in his late 30s experienced a medical emergency on board.

The Airport’s Operations Control Centre received an alert regarding the passenger’s health condition. The airport activated its emergency response protocol, mobilising the airport medical team and coordinating with stakeholders including CISF, immigration, and customs.

Upon landing, airport medical personnel attended to the passenger, assessed his condition, and arranged to shift him to a local tertiary-care hospital for further treatment. The passenger’s relatives accompanied the passenger, who incidentally received necessary medical care on board, which helped stabilise the situation.

Following the handling of the emergency, the flight departed for Thiruvananthapuram at 2:05 am on Tuesday.

"We appreciate the cooperation of all parties involved, and this incident reaffirms our ongoing commitment to prioritising passenger safety and readiness to respond to unforeseen emergencies with professionalism and care," the Airport spokesperson said.

Mangaluru, Nov 28: Karnataka Health Minister and Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Dinesh Gundu Rao on Friday handed over Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting the severe distress faced by farmers due to crashing crop prices.

PM Modi arrived at the Mangaluru International Airport en route to Udupi, where Gundu Rao welcomed him and submitted the letter. The chief minister’s message stressed that farmers are suffering heavy losses because maize and green gram are being bought far below the Minimum Support Price (MSP). The state urged the Centre to immediately begin procurement at MSP.

According to the letter, Karnataka has a bumper harvest this year—over 54.74 lakh metric tons of maize and 1.98 lakh metric tons of green gram—yet farmers are unable to secure fair prices. Against the MSP of ₹2,400/MT for maize and ₹8,768/MT for green gram, market rates have plunged to ₹1,600–₹1,800 and ₹5,400 respectively.

The chief minister has requested the Centre to:

• Direct NAFED, FCI and NCCF to start MSP procurement immediately.
• Ensure ethanol units purchase maize directly from farmers or FPOs.
• Increase Karnataka’s ethanol allocation, citing high production capacity.
• Stop maize imports, which have depressed domestic prices.
• Relax quality norms for green gram, allowing up to 10% discoloration due to rains.

The letter stresses that MSP is crucial for farmer dignity and income stability and calls for swift central intervention to prevent a deepening crisis.
