Bengaluru: Gang indulge in issuing 'bogus' bills nabbed

Bengaluru, Sept 18: South Zone Enforcement wing (Commercial Taxes Department) officers busted a gang indulging in issuing of bogus and e-way bills and arrested one person in this connection.

The arrested was identified as Kuldeep Choudhary, proprietor, M/S Neelakanth Exports, according to a statement by the Commissioner of Central Taxes (Karnataka) M S Srikar here said on Tuesday.

He said that according to preliminary investigation, the arrested had issued an invoice for Rs 29 crore involving a tax of Rs 5. 34 crore, without the supply of goods and services.

Asst Commissioner Md Rafi Pasha produced the arrested before the Special Court for Economic Offences and the Judge remanded him to the judicial custody.
