Kasargod, Sep 24: Accusing the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] of unleashing political violence in the State, former leader of the Revolutionary Socialist Party A.V. Thamarakshan has alleged that such crimes were being perpetrated with the knowledge of party State unit secretary Pinarayi Vijayan.

The march, raising the slogan of'Peace, liberty and development,' is mainly aimed at cornering the CPI(M) in the wake of the recent murder of RSS activist E. Manoj at Kathiroor, near Thalassery.
Senior BJP leaders, including K. Surendran and M.T. Ramesh, would accompany the march and address meetings at select CPI(M) strongholds to expose the alleged culture of violence perpetrated by the Left party.
The march passed through traditional Left strongholds of Kundamkuzhy, Odayamchal, Kalichanpothi, Pallikkare near Neeleshwaram, Cheruvathur, and Nadakkavu, near Thrikkarippur, in the district before winding up the march at Payyannur in Kannur for the day.
Meetings will be held in select CPI(M) pocket boroughs in Kannur district. A massive rally will be held on September 25 in Kannur.
A similar march taken out from Koyilandy in Kozhikode would converge with the march in Kannur.
The march is apparently aimed a luring young CPI (M) loyalists to the BJP camp to broaden the saffron party's base ahead of the upcoming local body elections in the State.
