Kundapur, Feb 8: State Revenue Minister V Shrinivas Prasad said that new taluks would be formed in the state including the ones proposed by the previous government in Karnataka.

He added that the recommendations made by four separate committees on the formation of new taluks would be taken into consideration.
The government has given priority to building a district complex in each district and a mini soudha in each taluk for which, a grant of Rs 25 crore for district complex and Rs 10 crore for mini Vidhana Soudha has been allotted. With a sum of Rs 5 crore having been spent on constructing the mini-Vidhana Soudha here in Kundapur, an additional grant will be provided, he said.
With mini-soudhas in the stage of being constructed in Karkala, Puttur and Sullia taluks, approval will be given to constructing the same in Udupi, Bantwal and Belthangady taluks in twin districts of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada, he informed the gathering.
