Puttur, January 9: Moved by a report published in Coastaldigest.com, a team of philanthropists recently visited the house of Marike Usman in Santyar in Puttur taluk and took appropriate measures to rehabilitate the poor family.
Coastaldigest.com had urged its readers to help this family in its report published on December 23 under the title: ‘Appeal to help a family in dire need.’
During their visit, the group found that the condition of the house is very bad and the family does not even have proper toilet facility.
Usman’s elder daughter Sajida and the youngest son Aboobaker Siddiq have to undergo proper medical treatment, the team pointed out.
Meanwhile, Usman’s brother has come forward to donate a piece of land to construct an independent house for them in association with Jamiyyathul Falah. The management committee of Badriya Jumma Masjid has taken up the responsibility of building the house.
On the occasion, the fund collected by Nazeer Ahmed, General Secretary, Jamiyyathul Falah Riyadh Unit, was transferred to “Marike Usman Relief Fund” account.
The team comprised of Nazeer Ahmed, PB Abdul Razzak, President, JF Mangalore Unit, KM Siddiq, President, JF Puttur Unit, PB Hasainar, Vice President, JF Puttur Unit, A Rehman Unique, General Secretary, JF Puttur Unit, BA Shukoor, Treasurer, JF Puttur Unit and A Rehman Azad, Ex-President, JF Puttur Unit.
Abdul Jaleel, President, Badriya Jumma Masjid, Santyar, Usman Moulavi, Khateeb, and other committee members of the Masjid were also present.
