Mangaluru, Mar 8: A ghastly road mishap at Yedapadavu in Mangaluru taluk claimed the lives of three persons including a north Indian on Tuesday.

Police have identified the deceased as Prakash Rao (33) from Mangaluru, Kallappa (37) from Hubballi and Sonu (35) from Jharkand.
All three were occupants of a stationary Tata Ace, which was hit by a speeding goods tempo. The ill-fated Tata Ace was about to start when the incident took place.
It is learnt that all three breathed their last on the spot. Another person identified as Rajesh from Jharkand sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a hospital.
A case has been registered at Bajpe police station and investigations are on. More details are awaited.
