Udupi, May 20: Expressing distress over untoward developments in the field of cricket, former Team India cricketer Syed Kirmani lamented that Cricket is no longer a gentleman's game.
Speaking after inaugurating the new cricket pitch at the Silas International School here, he said that the lack of sincerity and honesty prevailing everywhere had affected the game of cricket
Mr Kirmani said that students should be compulsorily provided with basic facilities for sports in every school and college.
Future leaders including those intending to become doctors and engineers should be shaped in homes and schools, he said.

Children should understand that they could taste success only if they put in hard work. Good hobbies went a long way in making people good human beings, Mr. Kirmani said.
