Mangalore, February 1: Fire tenders put out a fire that broke out at a timber yard at Panambur near here late on Tuesday.
Five tenders, including two from New Mangalore Port and two from Kadri fire station and one from Pandeshwar fire station were rushed to the spot on receipt of information and the fire was brought under control.
Exact reason how the fire started is not yet known, but dry grass in the vicinity of the yard helped spread the fire.
