The victims were raped after allegedly intoxicating them with drugs mixed in cool drinks. The accused allegedly filmed their heinous act through a camera cellphone. Police arrested two of the accused following the complaint lodged at Pendurthy police station. The other two accused and wife of the computer institute owner were absconding.

The accused were identified as computer institute owner D Srikanth, his wife Ratnam and his brother-in-law Acchiraju. The other two persons -- Valli and Srinu -- are friends of Srikanth. Police arrested Srikanth and Acchiraju. The victims, aged below 26 years were former employees of the computer training institute at NAD Kotta Road in the city. Srikanth invited them to his house at Papayyarajupalem near Gopalapatnam on the pretext of celebrating his birthday on Saturday and assured them of clearing their three-month salary dues. Ratnam verbally abused the women before beating them. Srikanth also spoke in lewd language blaming them for the closure of his institute.
