Delhi CM performs special puja at Dharmasthala temple

Dharmasthala, Sep 9: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday was spotted at Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, one of the most visited pilgrimage centres of Karnataka. Located in Dakshina Kannada district, Dharmasthala is frequented by celebrities and cricketers as well.

The centre's administrator D Veerendra Heggade received Kejriwal and accompanied him to the Manjunatheshwara temple. Kejriwal refused to speak to the media. However, the centre's spokesperson said that Kejriwal was in Dharmasthala on a private trip and that they had invited him.

Located in the Western Ghats, Dharmasthala is a favourite destination of the politicians. Kejriwal's unexpected presence at the pilgrimage centre has led to several speculations among the political circles.

It is mandatory for male devotees and visitors to the temple to take off their shirts and drape themselves with a white robe and Kejriwal followed the tradition. According to local authorities, Kejriwal offered special prayers in the temple.
