Delhi High Court stays release of ‘Gulaab Gang’

New Delhi, Mar 5: Delhi High Court stayed the release if Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla starrer film Gulaab Gang. Movie was scheduled to release on March 7, 2014.

The court stayed the release of movie while hearing a plea of real life Gulaab Gang member Sampat Pal. Sampat Pal, who runs Gulabi gang to help women, was one of the member of Bigg Boss season 6.

Pal alleged that the movie is inspired from her life and some scenes may tarnish her reputation.

Activist Sampat Pal has also sought financial compensation from producers of Soumik Sen's Gulaab Gang.

On Wednesday, Pal moved the Delhi high court for blocking the release Gulaab Gang.
