Deve Gowda undergoes treatment at Dharmasthala

Beltangady, Jun 24: Former prime minister H D Deve Gowda is in Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala for religious and treatment purposes.

He got himself admitted to Yoga and Nature Cure Hospital of Shantivana Trust, Dharmasthala on Monday. He was welcomed by D Surendra Kumar on behalf of the Kshetra and tahsildar Srinivas as part of the protocol.

After the first round of treatment at the hospital, he visited Manjunatha Swami Temple and offered special pooja. Meanwhile he also met Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade and discussed with him for few minutes.

Later responding to the questions of media persons, the JD(S) supremo said that his Dharmasthala visit had no political significance.

“I came here only for health and religious purposes. I preferred treatment at Shantivana because of the good facilities,” he said declining to comment on any political issues.
