Udupi, Aug 1: In a sudden development, Superintendent of Police of Udupi district Dr M B Boralingaiah has been transferred among 31 IPS officers by Karnataka state government. Dr Boralingaiah had taken charge as Udupi SP in January 2012.
He completed his MBBS at the Mysore Medical College in 2004. He was successful in his third attempt in clearing the civil services examinations.
After receiving transfer order Dr Boralingaiah thanked all his subordinates in Udupi district for their co-operation during his prolonged tenure of two-and-half-years.
On Thursday Dr Boralingaiah was posted as the new Superintendent of Police of Davanagere district.
Senior IPS officer and former Chamarajnagar SP P Rajendra Prasad will replace Dr Boralingaiah as the new Superintendent of Police of Udupi district. The new SP is expected to take charge within a couple of days.
