Mumbai, Sep 26: It seems that standup comedian Kapil Sharma's woes are not over yet. After a major fire on the sets of Comedy Nights with Kapil at Goregaon Film City, he was grilled by Mumbai service tax department for five hours.
The service tax department has booked Kapil Sharma for evading the service tax to the tune of Rs.65 lakh.
According to an official, the comedian has registered himself with service tax department but didn't pay it.
"He (Kapil Sharma) had collected service tax, but didn't pay to the department," he said.
He has assured to pay service tax by demand draft soon. But if it is not done on time, the service tax department might freeze his bank accounts soon.
