The latest news that prove this is singer Sonu Nimgam's complain that he has been receiving threatening calls from Chhota Shakeel.
The singer has reportedly told senior police officers that Chhota Shakeel, believed to be Dawood Ibrahim's right-hand man, made multiple calls and sent several texts last month asking him to cancel his deal with an event management company and sign up with another the don has chosen.
According to reports, if Sonu doesn't agree to Shakeel, he has apparently threatened to expose Nigam's relationship with a woman of prominent family in Mumbai.
Sonu Nigam has signed an agreement with an event management company for his world tour in 2014, Shakeel wants him to cancel that agreement and sign with Altaf, who is based in Dubai.
Last month, Boney Kapoor also lodged a complaint saying he had received threatening calls from the underworld.
