Washington, Feb 26: Actor Emma Watson, who rose to fame by playing Hermione Granger in the popular 'Harry Potter' franchise, has been recently making headlines after it was reported that the star has retired from acting. However, it seems like the rumour mills have got it all wrong.

As per Entertainment Weekly, the actor's manager cleared the air, putting an end to all such reports doing the rounds. Her manager, Jason Weinberg, denied the rumours, telling the publication in a statement, "Emma's social media accounts are dormant but her career isn't."

The 30-year-old star's Instagram account bio currently reads, "Emma's official Instagram page is currently dormant and is not being updated," while her profile picture is a simple black icon.

The actor had started trending on Thursday after an online report by a leading outlet alleged that Watson had retired from acting, leaving her fans distressed.

The news hurt Watson's fans who took to social media to remember her work. One fan claimed that her career didn't get enough appreciation while another wrote, "She is one of my favs but it's okay as long as she's happy with her decision."

"Emma Watson retiring is something very personal to me. No, I will not be getting over this," tweeted another fan.

Watson was last seen in Greta Gerwig's 2019 film 'Little Women' opposite Saorise Ronan, Florence Pugh, Timothee Chalamet, Laura Dern, and Meryl Streep. She also acted in the 2017 thriller drama 'The Circle' and 'Beauty and the Beast', which released in the same year.

In November last year, she made a rare public outing with her boyfriend Leo Robinton in London while grabbing coffee and walking around the city's Primrose Hill neighbourhood. Their outing came over a year after the two were first spotted together in October 2019.

Watson's beau Robinton was first identified in April of this year and is a businessman from Los Angeles, though little else is known about him. He reportedly deleted all of his social media after photos of the two sharing a kiss surfaced last year.

The couple has rarely been seen together since, though they appear to be going strong based on the recent outing.

Kochi, Feb 28: The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Friday announced the list of 366 movies eligible for this years' Oscars race, which included the Vijeesh Mani directorial film Mmmmm (Sound of Pain), a film in Kurumba language that is spoken by the tribal community in Attapadi in Kerala's Palakkad district.

The film now officially stands eligible to contend for the Oscars nominations. The voting will start on March 5, and the official nominations will be announced on March 15.

The film features former India footballer IM Vijayan in the lead role and tells the story of a tribal person hailing from the Kurumba tribe, who ekes out a living by collecting honey.

The story tells the difficulties the tribal person has to go through when environmental changes occur due to irresponsible human activities, leading to scarcity of honey. It also portrays his fight against the challenges and how he eventually adapts to the changing environmental conditions.

Sohan Roy, the producer of the film, said that this is a proud moment for the entire team behind the movie.

The film is directed by Vijeesh Mani. Grammy award-winning American musician Edon Molla and Indian folk singer Nanjamma have written the lyrics and sung for the movie. Jubair Muhammad is the music director for the film.

Apart from Mmmmmm (Sound of Pain), Tamil movie Soorarai Pottru also features in the list of 366 feature films that are eligible for consideration at the 93rd Oscars. The Sudha Kongara directorial stars Suriya and Aparna Balamurali in lead roles. However, Jallikattu, which was India's official entry in the Best International Feature Film category, did not make it to the shortlist.

Director Karishma Dev Dube’s Bittu has also been shortlisted in the Live Action Short Film category. Bittu is presented by Ekta Kapoor, Guneet Monga and Tahira Kashyap Khurrana under the banner of Indian Women Rising (IWR). The movie is set in rural India and revolves around the close friendship of two girls.

Image result for Aamir Khan to shoot final schedule of 'Laal Singh Chaddha' in Kargil

Mumbai, Feb 20: Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan's upcoming film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' has been making headlines ever since it was announced and movie buffs will soon get to witness the actor's magic on screen as the film's shooting will get completed by the mid of this year.

Aamir is all set to shoot the final schedule of 'Laal Singh Chaddha' in Kargil between May-June, this year.

A source close to the highly-anticipated project revealed, "The team is waiting for the snow to melt so that the team can go ahead and shoot the Kargil war sequence in the month of May-June. This sequence is of great importance to the film's plot."
Apart from playing the lead character in the upcoming film, Aamir is also the producer of this magnum opus project.

The source further said, "Aamir, who is known to be a perfectionist has made Laal Singh Chaddha his passion. What's more, he's even looking into the edit and backend work of the film himself. He's completely focused on the film and has decided to switch off his mobile phone until the film hits the theatres, enabling him to concentrate on the film hundred percent."

'Laal Singh Chaddha' reunites Aamir and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who last worked together in '3 Idiots'. Apart from Kareena, Vijay Sethupathi and Mona Singh will also be seen in the movie.

Adapted by Atul Kulkarni and directed by Advait Chandan, 'Laal Singh Chaddha' is an official Hindi remake of Robert Zemeckis' Oscar Award-winning 1994 film 'Forrest Gump', that featured Hollywood star Tom Hanks in the titular role.

'Laal Singh Chaddha' will reportedly unfold some of India's historic events as seen through the eyes of a man with a low IQ. Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will appear in cameo roles in the upcoming movie.

Being touted as the most anticipated release of this year, the upcoming movie will hit the big screens on Christmas, this year.
