Mangaluru, Nov 17: Four persons aged between 25 and 30 years have been arrested by the Dakshina Kannada district police in connection with gruesome double murder at Farangipete during a gang war on night of September 25. The total number of arrests have gone up to 11.

The arrested persons have been identified as Mohammed Naufal, 25; Faizal, 26, resident of Faizalnagar, Mohammed Asif, 27, resident of Farangipet and Ibrahim, 29, Kannur, said police.
According to police, accused who have been absconding from past two months were picked up from various places.
It can be recalled that two rowdy sheeters - Ziya, Fayaz- met a bloody end late in gang-war. The attack that took place near a hotel along Bengaluru-Mangaluru NH at Farangipete under Bantwal rural police station limits, also left three others injured.
The attack took place around 10.45pm, 15-kms away from city. Accused, having criminal background from Adyar, came in a SUV, and attacked five members of their rival gang, who were in another car.
Assailants attacked Ziya, Fayaz and three others with swords. While Fayaz died on the way to hospital, two others - Musthaq and Hameez received injuries. Sources from police department added that old rivalry is the reason for attack.
