After reaching here on Sunday morning, Mr Sivakumar drove to Dr. Irshad’s Anabagilu residence and met the grieving family members.
Interacting with Dr Irshad’s father Shamsudeen, Mr Sivakumar said the people of the State were with them in this time of grief.
25-year-old Irshad had been selected for post graduation in medicine in an Assam institute. Irshad and his friends Deepak Thomas of Kannur and Abin Suri of Kozhikode had decided to go on a trip to Nepal to celebrate the achievement before he joined the Assam college.
While Deepak Thomas lost his life in the quake, Abin Suri is being treated at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi for serious abdominal injuries.
