She not only established herself in the industry with movies like Guru and Devdas but has also left a mark in Hollywood films. Most cosmetic brands like LO’real also swear by her name. She was honoured with the prestigious Padma Shri Award by the government of India. The beauty queen is just not a poster girl but is involved in a lot of social activities. She was appointed as the UN Goodwill Ambassador for UNAIDS in 2012. The actress, now a mother of a child, might have been criticized by the media for putting on weight but she managed to get back to her gorgeous slim self. She surely took it easy and focused on her daughter Aradhya instead of watching her weight. She defended her curvy look saying that she enjoyed motherhood and was in no hurry to lose her post pregnancy weight. She silenced the critics by unveiling her new look in the Cannes Film Festival, 2014.

While the actress has been blessed with natural beauty she follows a very healthy lifestyle. She is not very regular with her workout but she is careful about her diet. Her diet includes boiled vegetables and fruits that are not only easy to digest but also fat-free. She abstains from eating fried foods, junk, packaged food items, drinking alcohol and smoking. She makes it a point to drink at least 8 glasses of water every day to keep her skin hydrated.

She goes all natural for her beauty

Insiders suggest that despite appearing for numerous beauty products, the actress prefers natural remedies to ex-foliate her skin. A mix of besan, milk and haldi (turmeric) is her secret behind glowing skin. She uses yoghurt to moisturise her skin.
