Pune, Sep 2: A crowd of more than 50 people came together in Pune on Friday to lift a bus and free two college students, who were trapped underneath.
This picture, now circulating on social media, captures the moment the crowd came to the rescue of the two youth.
The speeding bus ran over the two students who were on a motorcycle, and then collided with a traffic signal post before coming to a stop. The commuters and passersby on the road immediately stepped in.
They were moved to a hospital and are out of danger.
Last month when a viral video showed commuters in Perth, Australia get together to tilt a carriage and free a man who was trapped between the train and the platform, a lot of naysayers said such people power wouldn't happen in India.
The people of Pune have given them the answer.
