Mangaluru, Oct 8: The Muslim Central Committee, an umbrella body of Muslim organisations in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, have urged demanded a high level probe into the anti-Muslim conspiracies of Sangh Parivar and necessary action against those who spread hatred among Indians in the name of ‘love jihad.’
The demand comes in the wake of latest revelations made by Cobrapost and Gulail news portals on ‘love jihad’ conspiracy of Sangh Parivar leaders. The sting operations carried out by the news portals has revealed that leaders of BJP, RSS and VHP had fabricated the concept of ‘love-jihad’ to instill fear in the society for political gains.
Sangh Parivar leaders from coastal Karnataka including MLC Ganesh Karnik, BJP leader Shrikar Prabhu and VHP leader Jagadish Shenava were also exposed in the sting operation.
Addressing media persons on Thursday, Central Committee president KS Mohammed Masood said that it is the responsibly of Mangaluru City Police to take cognizance of the issue and investigate the shocking statements of trio.
Mr Karnik had had stated that 60 percent of constables hail from Sangh Parivar back ground and they indulge in pro-Hindutva policing. Mr Shenava, who is also an advocate, had admitted that Hindutva brigades slapped false charges against Muslim men and using mob to build pressure on police and disrupt law and order.
Mr Masood went on to claim that police department is not in a position to give justice to victims as Mr Karnik has revealed that majority of the police personnel belong to Sangh Parivar.
He said that a CID and CBI inquiry is needed into the so called love jihad conspiracy of Sangh Parivar against Muslims in different parts of the nation.
He said that committee has written to Karnataka chief minister Siddaramiah, several other ministers and police department demanding action against those who divide society though fabricated lies such as ‘love jihad’.
