Patna, Jun 15: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said he will keep visiting Bihar “till the lotus blooms in the State” which has never seen a BJP Chief Minister here till date.
Launching a blistering attack on Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad, Yogi, who visited Bihar for the first time after taking over the reigns of UP CM, said, “Their (Lalu-Nitish) alliance is an unholy and opportunistic one. I will soon launch an action plan to ensure that “two friends” parted ways soon. And I will not take rest till a BJP Government is installed here.”
Addressing a huge gathering in Darbhanga from behind a bullet-proof screen, Yogi recited a poem to buttress his point how Nitish and Lalu were temperamentally diametrically opposite to each other: “Keh Rahim kaise nibhe, bair kar ke sung.” Translated, it means: How will the friendship continue, such is the animosity.
Throwing an open challenge to Nitish, Yogi asked the Bihar Chief Minister to shut down all the illegal slaughter houses in the State just like he did in UP.
Striking an emotional chord, true to his characteristic, Yogi recalled the age-old relationship between Awadh and Bihar. “Ram was born in Ayodhya in UP, while Sita was born in Bihar’s Sitamarhi. I have, therefore, an emotional attachment with this State. We will ensure that a four-lane road is constructed between Ayodhya and Sitamarhi, so as to make the historical ties between the two States stronger,” Yogi said.
Flanked by former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Modi and State BJP president Nityanand Rai, Yogi asked Nitish to speak on the issue of triple talaq too, as his (Nitish) studied silence had raised eyebrows.
