Baghpat (Uttar Pradesh), Oct 22: Sub-inspector in Uttar Pradesh Police, Intesar Ali, has been suspended and sent to the police lines, and all this for keeping a beard without permission.

Ali had been warned thrice to shave off or seek requisite permission for the same.

However, the policeman did not seek permission and continued to keep the beard.

SP Baghpat Abhishek Singh said that as per the police manual only Sikhs are allowed to keep a beard while all other policemen have to remain clean-shaven.

“If any police personnel want to keep a beard, he has to seek permission for the same. Intesar Ali was repeatedly asked to seek permission but he did not comply and kept the beard without permission,” the SP said.

Ali joined the police force as sub-inspector and was posted in Baghpat since the past three years.

He told reporters that he had applied permission to keep a beard but got no response.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has ordered an inquiry into the deaths of eight children at a government hospital in Shahdal district within three days. These children were admitted to the Sick Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) and Pediatric Integration Care Unit (PCU) of Shahdal District Hospital. Two more children, aged two and three, died on Monday night, Shahdal’s chief medical and health officer Rajesh Pandey said on Tuesday. These children from Anuppur district were brought there for treatment.

In addition to the deaths of these two children, eight children aged four months died between November 2 and November 30. These children were admitted to the SNCU and PCU of the district hospital. Pandey said 33 children are currently admitted in the SNCU and PCU of the district hospital. Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has ordered an inquiry into the whole matter after the deaths of two children on Monday night.

Chauhan asked the officials whether the children had died due to the negligence of the medical staff. Aligarh, Nov 22: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team on Sunday took along the four accused persons in the Hathras case, for polygraph and brain mapping, said Jail Superintendent Aligarh.

Yesterday, the CBI took the accused persons to Gandhinagar in Gujarat from Aligarh Jail, Jail Superintendent informed.

The Supreme Court had earlier directed that the Allahabad High Court will monitor the probe, being conducted by the CBI, into the case related to the alleged gang-rape and subsequent death of a Dalit girl in Hathras.

The 19-year-old had succumbed to her injuries at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital on September 29 after being assaulted and allegedly gang-raped in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras on September 14. Her body was cremated by the Uttar Pradesh Police and the administration allegedly without the consent or the presence of the victim's family.

The first party of India was named Congress (congression) to fight the British for the independence of our country. After attaining independence and after the freedom fighters died the party also died when Congress (I) was formed and won the election. Today every party in the country is least concerned about the country or its people and are only concerned with their party and themselves. I would recommend the formation of a party to fight for the cause of the country and all its citizens in the name of party for the people of India
