Kambli hospitalised after chest pain

Mumbai, Nov 29: Former India batsman Vinod Kambli has been hospitalised in Mumbai after pain in his chest. He was driving home from Chembur, a suburb in the city, when he felt the pain and was taken to a hospital by a police officer. His condition is stable now. Kambli, 41, had also undergone angioplasty on two blocked arteries in 2012.

Kambli played 17 Tests and 104 ODIs for India. He scored 1084 runs in Tests, including two back-to-back double-hundreds, at an average of 54.20 and 2477 runs in ODIs, with two centuries. He played his last international match in 2000 and retired from first-class cricket in 2011.
