Mangaluru, Sep 30: Louis J Pinto has been re-elected president of Konkani cultural organisation Mandd Sobhann for 2016-17. The new office bearers for 2016-17 in the first executive committee meeting have elected Eric Ozario as Gurkaar.
Arun Raj Rodrigues is the coordinator, Stany Alvares, vice-president; Kishore Fernandes, secretary; Joel Pinto - treasurer; Irine Rebello - joint secretary; and Clara Arun is the public relations officer.
Other members of the committee are Ronald S A Castelino, Ronald Mendonca, Rev Fr Ramesh Naik Bandodkar, all ex-officio, Naveen Lobo, Lawrence D'Souza, Sunil Monteiro, Victor Mathias, Harriet Vidyasagar, Alfred Bennis, Lingappa Gowda, Joel Mascarenhas, Avil D'Cruz, Prakash Shenoy and Roman Basil Lobo.
The 29th annual general body meeting of Mandd Sobhann held earlier in the month at Kalaangann discussed and approved the annual report and financial statements.
